Selection process for healthcare and senior healthcare assistants

Requirements

For us to put consider you for a role in the UK, you must have:

  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) 5.5-6.0 overall in all four disciplines, reading, speaking, listening and writing.

  • Senior healthcare assistants must hold at least a 6-month caregivers certificate, but can be a nurse, midwife, physio or occupational therapist, in the Country they qualified or have been practicing.

  • Senior healthcare assistants must demonstrate adequate experience of the senior healthcare assistant role.

  • Healthcare assistants must hold a suitable caregiving certificate and 2+ years work experience in the role.

Assessment

Before we can introduce you to an employer we also need to see:

  • Your passport, birth certificate, qualification certificates for each qualification being reviewed.

  • Registration certificates from each country where you have practiced or been registered.

  • Two employment references confirming competence and character.

  • Evidence from your doctor you are in good health.

  • A police clearance certificate from all countries you have worked in over the last ten years valid for at least 3 months from date of issue.

Selection

Now we’ve confirmed your suitability, we can get you ready for meet potential employers.

First we brief you on working and living in the UK to make sure you understand how health and social care works here.

While you’re doing that, we’ll be preparing your CV to share with employers.

Then you’ll do a mock interview so we can prepare you for the real thing before you meet potential employers and begin your journey to the UK.
